SDG 17

SDG 17

The UN specifies SDG 17 as the platform to strengthen the implementation and revitalisation of the global partnerships aimed at sustainable development. This SDG encompasses goals related to education, science, technology, capacity building, financial inclusion, trade, multi-stakeholder aspirations and locally domiciled sustainable development targets.

Through SDG 17, the UN aims to encourage local, regional, and global efforts to confront common problems facing the world.

Through its numerous partnerships and collaborations, PSAU is contributing towards improving SDG policies within the kingdom and worldwide. Research funding provisioned through carefully articulated programmes have produced 2000+ publications as articles in top-tier journals and proceedings of reputable conferences, symposia, and workshop.

Similarly, SDG-centred projects, assignments, and activities are integrated into the teaching of courses across the university. This is aimed at awakening the interest of students who are tomorrow’s leaders regarding the importance of the SDGs.

A key area that PSAU has contributed towards the objectives of SDG 17 is its research related to COVID-19. Researchers working from medical, health, engineering, economics, psychology, etc. produced outcomes contributed towards clinicopathology, control and prevention, virology, epidemiology, radiology, improved awareness, prevention, vaccination, and economic impact related to the pandemic.
