Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

In PSAU’s continues work toward achieving its 2030 Strategic Plan goals, many initiatives and projects has been set to develop and maintain the infrastructure of PSAU and the surrounding environment in partnership with PSAU stakeholders.

By partnering with local and national agencies, PSAU spent more than 221,609,686 Saudi Riyals in several infrastructure projects which for the year 2021 including furnishing and equipping the central library in Al-Kharj, the theatre of the College of Sciences and Arts in Wadi Al-Dawasir, the Preparatory Year College and the College of Education for Female Students in Wadi Al-Dawasir, the laboratories of the College of Engineering in Al-Kharj, and constructing additional classrooms and laboratories buildings for female students at both College of Sciences and Human Studies, College of Applied Medical Sciences and College of Education in Wadi Al-Dawasir.

In addition, PSAU have allocated more than 825,129,500 Saudi Riyals for infrastructure construction projects that is currently undergoing in partnership with local and national agencies. Some of these projects including construction and establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in the Medical City, the College of Education in Hotat Bani Tamim, support buildings for the university city in Al-Kharj, Operation and Maintenance Building, additional classrooms and laboratories buildings for female students in College of Education in Al-Kharj / Al-Hayathem and in College of Sciences and Human Studies in Hotat Bani Tamim, additional halls for the building of the College of Business Administration for female in Al-Kharj, the power station in Aflaj, sports facilities in Al-Kharj.

PSAU also highly support research and innovation in partnership with national and international agencies and researchers. PSAU believes that scientific research is the one of the preferred ways to innovate, develop knowledge, and solve problems. The continues support for research activities in PSAU and the wide network of partnerships resulted significant increase in the number of published research reflected in the Web of Science and SCOPUS databases. For example, 818 research publications have been registered in the SCOPUS database and 813 published in the database of the Web of Science Network for the year 2019.
